Each sign goes through a precise process that make it literally look like it is over 100 years old. All of our hand painted signs come with drop shadow lettering which really adds to the nostalgic look and feel of each sign. All of our signs are hand painted on knotty pine wood which is 3/4 of an inch thick. We offer 3 sizes in all of our wooden signs, 7.25 x 36, 9.25 x 48 and 11.25 x 60. Measurements are in inches and are approximates. The largest size sign (11.25 x 60) only ships in the USA. Depot at Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita Kansas. It was built 1887 and originally located in Anness Kansas. It was moved to Cowtown in 1952.

The railroad came to Wichita in 1872 as the Wichita and Southwestern Railroad Company. It linked with the Santa Fe Railroad to the north. The railroad dramatically increased the flow of goods, people, and cultural influences from the east. From 1872-1875 the freight shipped east was mainly Texas longhorn steers, but also included buffalo hides, bones, horns, and meat from the still active hunting and trading industry.
